The Open Air Fit Mini Fit classes provide structured physical activity sessions for pre-nursery children (Age 18 months- 3 years) that give them the chance to develop movement and key skills through large-muscle activities. These help to build strong bones and muscles, improve social and emotional skills, and supports their ability to learn new concepts.
These fundamental basics provide the platform for the more complex skills of later childhood and adulthood and recent research suggests that if children do not master these motor skills during childhood, they may be less physically active as an adult.
Movement and physical activity with others also boosts children’s self-confidence and makes everyone feel good. We focus specifically on balance, mobility, motor skills and developing inter-personal skills through play.
The sessions also work on the children’s ability to take instructions and prove to be very popular with the children and mums alike!
The Open Air Mini Fit sessions are held in the Dog Free Zone on Wandsworth Common throughout the year, even during holidays and half terms when most other activities are closed. No need to book as all classes are drop in.
