Many people don’t know that alongside the shows that you see on the stage at the Theatre Royal, there’s also a huge range of activities that you can get involved with too. The creative learning department opens up the theatre world to others, allowing those in our local community to discover new things, new skills and develop creatively. For schools and colleges, we offer special projects that support both pupils’ and teachers’ enjoyment and understanding of the work on stage. Our community projects deliver dynamic activities for groups with specific needs and interests. This has included working with people with learning difficulties, those with mental health issues, young offenders and teenage parents, helping them to creatively develop their skills and confidence. Whatever your age or experience, there is a group for you where you can learn new skills.
