The meadows on this mixed farm are like a piece of forgotten Suffolk with their skylark and wildflowers. There’s always something special to see here at Grove Farm where conservation and commercial farming can be seen working side by side.

In spring skylark can be seen hovering above the fields and snipe spend winter in the meadows. Southern marsh orchid, marsh marigold, marsh valerian and ragged-robin bloom in the meadows bordering the River BlackBourn, in summer. On the higher, drier land self heal, ox-eye daisy and common cat’s-ear can be found.

Dense hedges of hawthorn, hazel, dog rose, oak and willow. A diverse age range of scrub can be found at Grove Farm. The scrub is home to an array of bird species. In the spring blackcap, willow warbler, yellow hammer and linnet breed. You may be lucky and see a secretive otter which are seen on the grazing marshes and intersecting dykes.
