The 1 hour class consists of 30 minutes of gentle stretching & Yoga breath work before the practice of Yoga Nidra, sometimes described as “Yogic Sleep”. It is suitable for all whether or not you are new to Yoga. Yoga Nidra simply involves lying [or sitting if necessary] in a comfortable position & listening to a guided deep relaxation lasting 20 to 30 minutes. Yoga Nidra induces complete physical, mental & emotional relaxation by helping us to “switch off” from the outside world. Stress, strain & anxiety are released & the mind is rested more effectively than during ordinary sleep. It can bring many positive benefits to health & well being.
