Scotland's National Wallace Monument – which pays tribute to the patriot and martyr Sir William Wallace, and tells the story of his victory at The Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297. Facilities for visitors include Legends Coffee House, Free Car Parking, Courtesy Bus Service between the Car Park and the Monument, and Souvenir and Gift Shop. Regular Special Events including live performances by costumed actors, bring the story of Wallace to life. Within the Monument visitors can see the famous battle sword which symbolises Wallace's campaign for freedom from oppression, and enjoy panoramic views from the Crown, looking out towards the city of Stirling, and across the Forth Valley.
