Join us from 12 weeks pregnant or when given an all clear form your Dr. Yoga is truly fantastic for pregnant women and you don't need previous experience. We will practice a gentle way of maintaining or gaining fitness that can also help reduce any anxiety with breathing and relaxation techniques. The focus is on helping you get elasticity and strength for a calmer and more comfortable birth.
Traditional yoga postures have been adapted by Birthlight (an international organisation caring for mothers) to provide a science based but holistic practice that is the safest and most suitable for pregnant women. The moves and breathing are gentle and effective and will help support you through to labour and the postnatal period to promote physical and emotional wellbeing. The Birthlight approach is about supporting each individual woman by respecting her birthing and motherhood choices. The positive, active yet relaxed atmosphere of the classes aims to convey a shared feeling of celebration and enjoyment of this very special time of transformation and growth. All babies deserve a warm and loving welcome into this world!
