Wollaton Hall and Park is a spectacular Elizabethan mansion and park set in the heart of Nottingham.
Completed in 1588, the interior was extensively remodelled following a fire in 1642. A number of period rooms are open to visitors.
Since Wollaton Hall opened to the public in 1926, it has been home to the city's natural history museum. On display are some of the best items from the three quarters of a million specimens that make up its zoology, geology, and botany collections.
There are daily tours of the hall available at 11am, 2pm and 3pm when the hall is open.
The park and gardens are open to visitors and various walking routes are suggested. Segway tours are also available.
Nottingham Industrial Museum is within the grounds, admission charges apply.
