We know that being active during labour has many benefits and these workshops will provide you with the opportunity to learn how this can be achieved within the environment that you may give birth in.

What will be included in the session?

• How to cope at home during the early stages of labour
• Good positions to adopt during labour and birth
• How to use the equipment available to you on the labour ward to help you be mobile during your labour.

Where is the venue?
The workshop will take place in a labour ward birthing room and will be of most benefit to you if you attend when you are
around 34 weeks pregnant.

It will last around 1 hour, and is done in small groups of five or six women with their birthing partner.

Please be aware that you may be required to stand during the workshop. If all labour rooms are in use the session will take place in an alternative venue.
