Green Flag award winner Sadler's Wood, in North Walsham, is home to a wide variety of flowers including bluebells and wood anemones. Come to the wood and listen to the great spotted woodpeckers that live among the trees with blue tits, great tits, grey herons and tawny owls. Keep your eyes open for the many insects and butterflies that make their home in the wood.
The wood is home to a variety of trees including larch, pine, sweet chestnut, beech, holly, sycamore and English oak.
Are you interested in conservation work? Join our Muddy Boots Volunteers; we’re always keen to hear from volunteers willing to join the rangers and get their boots dirty to help with conservation work. Sadler’s Wood is host to lots of other activities many of which are great fun for children!
