Hickling Broad is a 600 hectare National Nature reserve and home to iconic species such as bittern, common crane, marsh harriers, bearded tits, Norfolk hawker dragonflies and swallowtail butterflies.
We offer one and two hour guided wildlife boat trips on Hickling Broad exploring the reed fringed waterways in our 12 seater boats. Trips can include a visit to two hides on the Broad and our 60' tree tower for breath taking views over the reserve and beyond. Our boats are specially built to enable access to hidden areas of The Broads and are uncovered, providing unrivalled views of the expansive Norfolk skies and opportunities for spotting birds, butterflies and dragonflies in flight.
We can tailor trips to your requirements with exclusive use of the boat for groups of at least eight people.
The Reserve has a 3km walking trail with four bird hides and holds regular pond dipping and minibeast trail events for children.
Free car parking is available adjacent to the visitor centre and it is a 20 minute walk to the boat landing stage from here. The path is level and suitable for pushchairs and wheelchair users.
