Pregnancy yoga has long been recognised, by doctors and midwives to be one of the most effective means of keeping fit whilst pregnant and easing birth.
On a physical level the specially adapted postures will help strengthen tone and create flexibility in the body. The sessions will boast vitality, reduce stress and help relieve common pregnancy ailments such as back ache and fluid retention.
Breathing exercises relax the nervous system and bring increased oxygen to the body and therefore the baby. They are very useful to use during labour.
Movements which are beneficial for each stage of labour are incorporated into the class and each session ends with a relaxation.
The classes are also a great way to meet other mums-to-be who live locally.
