The Space East Studio offers regular mixed antenatal and postnatal classes. Wednesday evening’s class is a slower, more restorative yoga, while Sunday’s class in a dynamic ‘power’ yoga.
Both classes are suited to all levels of yoga experience, prenatally from the second trimester and following the birth of your baby after the six-to-eight-week postnatal check.
Yoga helps mums-to-be prepare for birth, stay connected to body and breath, and remain relaxed and fit throughout pregnancy. Yoga postures are adapted so that you can safely strengthen and tone, while breathing exercises reduce stress and boost oxygen to both mum and baby.
Postnatally, yoga helps mums reconnect with their bodies. Breathing exercises and movement build mental wellbeing, energy levels and physical resilience essential to new motherhood.
