Whilst a relatively new concept in the UK, baby massage has been an ancient tradition in many cultures around the world.
In China, for example, there is a belief that even babies can benefit from increased blood flow or chi to different parts of their bodies.
It’s no doubt a wonderful way for parents to bond with their newborn – touch and eye contact being so important in this respect – and the simple techniques that are introduced in this course can help in a number of ways:
- Improving muscle tone;
- Relief from colds and flu symptoms;
- Pain reduction for colic or teething;
- Stimulate the senses;
- Calm, sooth and relax.
(This course includes an optional Dads and babies massage session run by Angela Yates on a Saturday afternoon)
