This session is aimed at older people. Pilates helps to develop postural awareness and encourages the release of tension and stress stored up in the muscles. The slow, controlled and flowing movements strengthen the muscles, particularly those which stabilize and support the spine. These sessions will run for 16 weeks starting, 19/06/2015
The ParkLives programme is designed to help people in Manchester become a bit more active by removing barriers such as cost, location and travelling distance – and by providing a sociable, friendly and welcoming atmosphere to try out a variety of different activities for all ages and abilities.
The aim is to encourage as many people as possible to join in the free sessions running throughout the year at seven major parks including Heaton Park, Platt Fields Park, and Chorlton Water Park.
