Making Lincs have developed the Preparing for Birth through Mindfulness and Relaxation course, based on the overarching principles of mindfulness and self-hypnosis. It is designed to reduce the stress and anxiety during pregnancy, pain in childbirth and the promotion of bonding between parents and their infants after birth. Research has shown that a person’s psychological attitudes, beliefs, expectations and wellbeing all have direct effects on the way they experience pain. The state of deep mental and physical relaxation, can replace fear and expectations of pain with confident expectations of a safe, gentle and calm birth. You are introduced to mindfulness and self-hypnosis for managing pain, reducing stress and anxiety and helping you deal with everyday demands. Our facilitator is a trained Hypnobirthing instructor and trainer and is fully insured. The course lasts for 5 weeks.
