I’ve been teaching baby massage now for over 10 years and every time I teach a course, I learn more about babies and more about how touch can shape the way in which you and your baby respond to each other.
Touch is one of the first senses we experience and it has a lifelong effect on the body and brain. Science has now caught up with how important positive touch is and how responding to your baby has a far reaching impact on brain development, emotional development and physical development.
I encourage parents to start baby massage as early as possible from birth. You will not only learn how to massage your baby, you will also learn a wide range of soothing and stimulating ‘techniques’ which will help you gain confidence as a parent. In those early, blurry days this is comforting to have this knowledge on board. I hope I will be welcoming you to my classes very soon.
