“Yoga has many benefits for the body and mind but the most important aspects for me that are taught are self-love and self-efficacy. Children gain self-confidence and body awareness and this can prevent depression and anxiety as well as eating disorders during adolescence. Children are put under pressure to achieve in our fast paced, outcomes based society and my classes are fun and flowing, allowing for strengthening and toning the body whilst learning to quieten the mind in a non-competitive environment. Yoga has taught me that with self-love, compassion and the ability to not take life too seriously I am capable of anything and this is what I would like to pass onto my students.” – Siobhan
