It has a very large popular playground with equipment suitable for children aged from 3 to 14 years old. It also has a dog free area with picnic tables. On site is a pavilion (currently leased), which is shared between sports clubs and the Learning Land Play Nursery.
A rose garden can be found in the southwest corner of the site and is best visited from June onward. In spring time the winter flowering bulbs form a carpet of colour and are well worth a visit.
The site has three tennis courts. A Pay and Display machine will be in use (similar to those used in car parks) and players will be urged to use it. On site there are also two football pitches and one cricket pitch.
To the north-east and just beyond the tennis courts is a nature conservation area. The whole site is very popular with picnickers in the summer.
