The Markfield Beam Engine and Museum, built in 1886, is housed in its original Grade II listed Engine House, in the former sewage treatment works for Tottenham, which now forms part of Markfield Park.

Catch one of the Beam Engine Steaming days and step back in time to the era of the Industrial Revolution and the age of steam. Hear the hiss of steam and marvel at the motion of the massive components of the Beam Engine. See a masterpiece of Victorian Engineering which played an important part in the urban development of Tottenham and Wood Green. Located in its original Engine House, see what working life and public health was like in Victorian times.
