Hornsey Town Hall – in the centre of Crouch End – was designed by RH Uren in 1933 and opened in 1935. It was the UK's first significant public modernist building and is a Grade II listed building.
Crouch End’s landmark Hornsey Town Hall is set to throw open its doors to the community for a year-long programme of arts, culture, events and activities.
The much-loved building will be revitalised as the Hornsey Town Hall Arts Centre, offering studio space, public galleries and rehearsal space alongside a diverse range of events from spoken word artists and live music to pop-up dinners and theatre.
The interim project, set to run until January 2016, will be led by ANA Arts Project, thecreative producers behind a wealth of previous events at venues including the South Bank Centre, the Science Museum and the View from the Shard.
