Bluebell season takes place mid to late spring for a few weeks each year, and there are some wonderful bluebell woods within arms reach of Haringey.
Head to Epping Forest and there are several spots said to be great for bluebell lovers, particularly the areas around the 140-acre Chalet Wood in Wanstead Park (picture 2), Bluehouse Grove in Chingford and Strawberry Hill ponds (picture 1) in Loughton.
Nearby there's also Claybury Woods, Redbridge, which is famous for its bluebells.
Bluebells are a protected species and easily damaged – so no picking! Photography, on the other hand IS permitted!
