Burnside Animal Rehabilitation Centre is located in Fleet in Hampshire. The animal rehab centre provides a range of veterinary physiotherapy treatments to dogs, cats and small animals. The animal rehab unit is based at the Ark Veterinary Practice in Fleet and has two dedicated treatment rooms. The physiotherapy room is where we undertake assessments and dry treatments, such as manual physio and electrotherapy, and the hydrotherapy room. The hydrotherapy room underwent renovation in 2016 to provide a fantastic heated indoor hydrotherapy pool, therapeutic shower system, ramp and harness system. Physiotherapy aims to promote mobility, quality of life and return to function. Animals are assessed on an individual basis through vet referral and then a treatment plan is designed to suit their individual needs. Animal treatments include hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, treadmill and land exercise therapy as well as manual therapy which can include soft tissue manipulation, trigger point techniques and massage.
