Just because you are pregnant shouldn't mean that you have to give up exercise. The very nature of Pilates lends itself as an ideal exercise regime as long as the moves are modified and tailored to the needs of pregnancy as it progresses. What is more, it can be an ideal opportunity to get to know other mums-to-be.
The classes focus on preparing the pelvic floor for the birth and strengthening the muscles which support the spine and the pelvis. The sequence of moves are guided by the Pilates breathing technique and each class finishes with a relaxation section.
These classes run in 1/2 termly blocks by a qualified pre/post-natal Pilates Instructor.
