Devon County Council has identified the need for a new primary school with nursery to serve the proposed housing development in south west Exeter. At present, there is no Church School provision to the west of the River Exe in the city, or in the close vicinity of the proposed development which runs between Alphington and Exminster alongside the A379. The Church of England Diocese of Exeter working closely with the Methodist Church - and in consultation with St Christopher's Multi Academy Trust - is proposing to establish a new primary and nursery school in this emerging community. The school will join the wider family of church and community schools in the existing Academy Trust. We are keen to assess whether there is local support for proposed school and are asking local parents to indicate their views. Our vision and further information is outlined on this website. Please take a look and give us your feedback. If there is sufficient support from local families, we will submit a proposal to the Department for Education (DfE) in spring 2016. Thank you for your interest in this exciting new project!
