An exciting one day workshop in textile upcycling led by Green Designer and Textile Artist, Rose Hall of the sustainable fashion label Hamish Mash.
You will receive practical design assistance and guidance with new techniques whilst working on your own project.
You may with to refit, repair, reconstruct or perhaps embellish using appliqué, slashing, basic machine embroidery, needle-felting or stencilling. We’ll provide examples and a book of inspiration to help you with ideas
Just bring along your outdated, unloved, damaged and ill fitting clothes to refashion and any textile you would like to include in your design and at the end of the day you’ll leave with a uniquely crafted item that reflects your individual style and with a bug… the upcycling bug!
Ability to use a sewing machine is essential and basic sewing skills
Light refreshments included, fresh fruit, soup bread! Vegan and gluten free diets catered for.
Please note the workshop will be held on the first floor of the building which is accessed by a set of stairs, there is unfortunately no lift. There is free on-street parking outside this venue but it can be busy. The area is well serviced by local buses.
