Practicing yoga during pregnancy enhances your bond with your baby, reduces stress and anxiety and strengthens your body to prepare for labour and birth. It also helps to relieve backache and improve circulation, breathing and digestion. According to a Norwegian study (2012), women that take on some sort of exercise during pregnancy are less likely to report pelvic girdle pain, LOW BACK PAIN and depression. Those who do yoga during their pregnancy will also experience a greater sense of well being, enhanced bonding with their child and will be able to approach birth more calmly and with increased confidence.
