2016 June 22 – 27
This ancient fair has been visiting the city’s Midsummer Common for over 800 years, making it one of the country’s oldest traveling fun fairs.
Expect hot dogs, toffee apples, warm candy floss, dodgems, roundabouts, ghost trains… nothing beats the magic of the fair! The perfect day out for all ages and the opening ceremony is marked by the traditional parade with the Mayor and other council members proclaiming the fair open and throwing newly minted pennies to children.
