Pilates and yoga fusion classes are a combination of core stabilizing, posture enhancing Pilates from the West and the ancient practice of balancing, calming Yoga from the East.
The slow, precise Pilates exercises are designed to strengthen the deeper postural muscles, thus protecting the spine against injury and promoting good posture. The flowing and properly aligned yoga asanas, coupled with breathing and relaxation practices build flexibility and focus the mind. Each muscle group will be strengthened and stretched to bring balance to your body. No two classes will be the same, with a different focus each week to keep things interesting!
The class is suitable for everyone, including beginners, post natal women, and those with pain or previous injury. However, there will be enough challenge even for those with experience in yoga and/or Pilates
