Hatha is a form of yoga that has become very popular in the West as it incorporates asanas (postures), pranayama (regulated breathing), and meditation (Dharana & Dhyana) into a complete system that can be used to achieve self-realization.
It has become very popular as source of exercise and stress management. The ideal way to practice the hatha yoga asanas is to approach the practice session in a calm, meditative mood.
Hatha yoga classes are ideal for beginners. The postures, themes and sequences are entirely dependent on the teacher and their assessment of the class. The Vinyasa aspect focuses on a flow style so one posture intelligently transitions to the next.
All levels are welcome to this class and limited mats are available. The hatha class is offered on a drop in basis at £8 per class and will be friendly, lively and welcoming to all!
