Ashtanga yoga is set apart from the other yoga styles in that it is a predetermined, set sequence of poses as taught by Sri K Pattabhi Jois .
This style of yoga is physically demanding as it involves synchronizing breathing (ujjayi) with a progressive and continuous series of postures -a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, flexibility, stamina, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.
Those who feel the need for mre discipline in life, who like to see change and improvement do well to practice ashtanga.
This class is open to all levels of practitioners on a drop in basis of £9 per class. Limited mats available to use until you get hooked on yoga and invest in your own!
