Shorter days & cooler weather mean we are less able to enjoy outdoor activities so need to make time to feel well through the winter months. My Monday Mixed Ability Yoga class aims to help you do that.
I am a British Wheel of Yoga trained Teacher of Hatha Yoga, which in simple terms is the type of Yoga that focuses on awareness of how the breath moves in the physical postures that are practiced – not just doing the postures themselves. This may help us notice where & when we hold tension or stress in our body & provide the opportunity to change that for more comfort & ease. The physical practices themselves seek to help improve & maintain strength & mobility with an emphasis on the areas that give many of us problems such as shoulders, neck, hips & spine.
The class level is Mixed Ability so has attendees with many years experience of Yoga as well as those with a little. I offer modifications in postures so they are useful for all & encourage everyone to work at the level that is right for them at each class.
My personal aim in every session is to assist you in finding a less stressful way of moving in your body in Yoga practice, so that when you are out & about in daily life you can be so with more ease. I believe it is one of the greatest gifts we can give to ourselves for health & well-being.
