In October 2013, the Psychology and Wellbeing (PAWB) clinic at the University of South Wales will offer clinic-based early-intervention services for children aged 5 and under with autism. The autism clinic will be located on the Trefforest campus of the University of South Wales. Services will be based on the science of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). ABA underpins a number of effective, research-supported interventions for children with autism and can be used to increase communication and social skills. Therapy will be provided on a 1:1 basis by masters-level student therapists coursework in ABA and who are training to become Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA). Supervision of clinical services will be provided by experienced doctoral-level behaviour analysts. Families interested should contact Dr Aimee Giles BCBA-D at Aimee.Giles@southwales.ac.uk
