A wilderness within an urban environment, visitors to Sutton Park can enjoy the captivating scenery, using an accessible network of paths.

There are opportunities to walk, jog, golf, angling, nature-watch and cycle. There are cafes and 2 play areas, and car parks at all the main entrances. The Visitor Centre, 250m on the left from Town Gate entrance, is an ideal place to start your journey into the Park. There are toilets, baby changing facilities, gift shop and maps.

The park is an historic landscape that covers an area of over 2,000acres and attracts 2m visitors a year. It's a mosaic of open heathland, woodlands, wetlands, marshes and 7 lakes. Cattle and wild ponies roam freely.

For lunch or a snack , you can choose from the Blackroot Bistro, The Boathouse at Bracebridge, Miller and Carter (steakhouse/pub), Park House Carvery, or the Town Gate Café.
