A really lovely park, with an imaginative (young) children's play area, complete with wooden tractor, storytelling chair, stepping stones and a slide (no swings though, so not so great for non-walkers).
There's a great grassy area for kicking balls about, and a good duck pond (somewhat over-run with Canadian geese).
Best of all is the excellent cafe, v family-friendly, with a toddler area in one corner. The sandwiches are very good (naice ham sandwiches on proper bread) and at the moment they're doing v delicious milkshakes.
The hall is used by groups such as Rhythm Time and toddler craft sessions, so it's well worth knowing about.
Oh, and you can take older kids for a longer bike rides on the track on the other side of the road.
