Mumsnet and the NCT
Mumsnet has joined forces with the NCT, the UK's leading parenting charity, to provide direct access to Mumsnet Talk. The co-branded forum allows parents to share and discuss their experiences of pregnancy and the early years.
The NCT will offer its members and visitors this new facility to express their views, talk about their experiences and gain support from other mums and dads.
MN co-founder Justine Roberts says: "We're delighted to be partnering with the NCT, to allow more parents and parents-to-be to access Mumsnetters' wisdom. From the very first stages of trying to conceive, via pregnancy, birth and on through the various stages of a child's development, Mumsnet Talk is the perfect place for mums and dads to log on and talk, share experiences or find out more.
"Whether you're looking for the perfect pair of maternity jeans or want to know what a contraction feels like, Mumsnet brings together parents, allowing them to pool information, make good friends and support each other."
NCT communications manager Jane Dennehy says: "Becoming a parent is a fantastic and challenging experience; the NCT and Mumsnet want to enable parents to have the best possible experience, by encouraging them to support each other.
"Mumsnet Talk allows members the opportunity to speak to others, identify with them and share similar experiences, whether they're commenting on the first trimester or baby feeding. For some parents it can provide an instant response to questions and support them when they may be feeling overwhelmed; for others it can be useful for general parenting advice."
