Mumsnet Rated: what's it all about?

Mumsnet Rated badge

Recently you might have noticed certain products carrying a badge called Mumsnet Rated. Here's how it works...

For a product or service to be awarded Mumsnet Rated, it needs to have been tested and reviewed by a sample of Mumsnetters (usually 250, but this can be tailored).

After testing the product or service, testers are asked to complete a short survey to review it. Two survey questions determine whether it can be awarded Mumsnet Rated.

The first asks whether testers would purchase the product or service again, and the second asks if they would recommend it to friends and/or family if it came up in conversation.

If the product or service scores positively on these questions with 75% or more of testers who complete feedback, it's awarded Mumsnet Rated.

If you’d like to get involved in testing products for Mumsnet, we’d love to have you on board, so join our Mumsnet Parents’ Insight Panel! After you’ve signed up, we’ll email you the latest opportunities to test products, attend event days and complete surveys, with many opportunities to win vouchers as a thank you for your time.

Brands that are awarded a Mumsnet Rated badge can then pay a licensing fee to use it on any offline or online marketing material for that particular product or service, for a period of 12 months.
