Keep calm and carry on!

AtIusvue · 24/10/2026 13:40

Maybe Meg is trying to pass off she believed they were investigating Mr Markles crimes when in fact they were investigating if this posed a threat to her security.

She can pretend to be confused and justify why she never bothered to contact authorities.

StrawberryWasp · 24/10/2026 13:39

Meghan really does come from the most disgusting low life family.

I can actually understand her wanting to keep them away from Harry and the RF and distance herself from them. There is obviously a lot of very nasty shady stuff going on that's been kept quiet by them.

If she herself came across as a sincere, hardworking, committed, generous personality I am sure there would be lots of sympathy for her having to deal with such low lifes. After all we don't chose our family, and they don't define us.

Unfortunately she has come across herself as a lying backstabbing, self serving narcissist who destroys family relationships and tries to take others down. So the impression when her disgusting family are revealed to the world, is that she isn't that different to them.

AtIusvue · 24/10/2026 13:36

That’s my point- if she believed they were investigating- she’d quickly find out they weren’t because they have zero jurisdiction

AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta · 24/10/2026 13:35

If the Queen mothers death recollection is anything to go by then wait for a claim from H that Meg got a letter from the FBI in the year 2028 whilst they were holidaying on the moon.

Starryfifty · 24/10/2026 13:35

Meanwhile.....

Passingthroughagain · 24/10/2026 13:35

It doesn't say there's no mention of CSA. In fact, the Met said it contained "a number of claims about alleged offending outside the United Kingdom" but was predominantly about Meghan's security. That's why the letter was passed to her office. Her statement yesterday made it sound like she was alerted specifically about her father, when that doesn't appear to be the case. This is why she should've waited for issuing such a firm statement.

Marmaladelover · 24/10/2026 13:35

The lack of around the clock has been talked about many times before on here about the arrangements for working royals other than direct heirs . I therefore surmised that that PB did not have around the clock protection by then but did have as a child. If I have got that wrong i apologise.

The met starenent says it was in regard to security arrangements. The sun later article says the letter was from the US someone close to MM. Then there is the discrepancy about the dates.

And maybe the MET thought the person alerting them about the risk to security had already contacted law enforcement in the US but didn’t check . This was a could up by them but we have seen how useless they gave been in other situations so I am not surprised.

AlwaysRightISwear · 24/10/2026 13:35

Why would they investigate something that happened in another country?

More likely they would have passed it to the appropriate overseas force although it does appear they didn't bother....

Orvillee · 24/10/2026 13:34

H&M employed this strategy with Spare. MM wasn’t seen for dust at the launch and media rounds. Any fallout could then land in one place to be mopped up rather than covering them both in shit and reducing their brand revenue opportunities. Same happened when news broke that PH had lost the ANL case - despite huge pre announcement that MM would be accompanying PH on his various public charity engagements that week - first time she had set foot in UK in 6 years - she pulled out of the charity visits.

BemusedAmerican · 24/10/2026 13:33

The original poster is a Chilean attorney who posts on reddit. They did excellent coverage of the ANL case.

Starryfifty · 24/10/2026 13:33

I'm as confused as you Jeffers. My head hurts

smilesy · 24/10/2026 13:31

Obfuscation is their middle name 😵‍💫

HamTwatter · 24/10/2026 13:31

Let me know if you (want an extra sausage, Tis I, yes, usernames may vary) can’t access X and I will put it on here in a VERY LONG POST.

An incredibly long read but very interesting. An attorney mulls over the TM situation.

jeffgoldblum · 24/10/2026 13:29

Sorry I’m so confused!!! , can anyone explain it to me or is it really as convoluted as it sounds!!

Orvillee · 24/10/2026 13:28

Allegations May Vary

SiegfriedSassoon · 24/10/2026 13:27

Because Harry is the cash cow. If too much scandal and controversy means Meghan needs to disappear from public view then Harry can still pimp himself out to whatever charities and newspapers will pay him. It happened with some other 'influencers' a few years ago. A woman called Myka Stauffer who made millions as a YouTube star was found to be abusing one of her adopted children and subsequently dumped him with social services. After fetching him from china as a toddler and raising him for several years. She was irrevocably disgraced and hounded into closing her YT channel. But her husband distanced himself from it all and so his also extremely lucrative channel (which was about cars rather than their family life) was able to continue and is still a very nice earner for their family.

PullTheBricksDown · 24/10/2026 13:26

Ah OK. So Megan's statement says 'disturbing allegations' and they say, according to the Sky News story:

a letter containing a number of claims about alleged offending outside the United Kingdom. It was sent to the MPS Protection Command to raise concerns in relation to the security of the Duchess of Sussex.

I mean, it sounds like it's about TM senior, but doesn't name him and doesn't specifically mention CSA.

Hardly clears things up..

Boudy · 24/10/2026 13:26

I read that HAM have a copy of the letter and would give it to MET if they couldn't find it. So am assuming it was dated( 2018).

Starryfifty · 24/10/2026 13:25

Exactly this ! Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever

HamTwatter · 24/10/2026 13:25

Dates, like recollections, may vary.

Orvillee · 24/10/2026 13:24

Maybe PH wasn’t told?

There are usually safeguarding procedures where people are required to action and refer on. Maybe the contents of this letter didn’t meet that threshold for escalation or the officials involved Met police, H&M BP team failed in their respective responsibilities (if any). MM herself wouldn’t have any official responsibility here and would have assumed rightly that others were doing their jobs whether that is escalation, delegation, investigation or just keeping it on file.

She had no requirement to follow up the work of the Met on a criminal allegation or investigation that she was not a victim of or involved with.

HoldMyWine · 24/10/2026 13:24

I think they came back here knowing the story was about to break, and have gotten into bed with the Sun to try and spin it positively for themselves. As always through they came let it lie and are adding more and more to the story which is making it look worse.
I would have some sympathy for Meghan finding out such awful information about her father, but her main priority seems to be making herself look good and the victim in it all.

readbutdonotpostoften · 24/10/2026 13:22

Except the MET say a letter concerning DOS security - no mention of CSA at all.

Edited to add - the MET, for all their previous issues, may be reporting correctly.

canklesmctacotits · 24/10/2026 13:22

What does CSA by Thomas Markle have to do with security for Meghan and Harry?
