Welcome newbies!

Speaking as an august baby myself (ahem!) I would say that it's an excellent time to have a child... If nothing else, I felt that I was almost a year younger than some of the other kids in my year so if I didn't win the sack race, I could console myself with "being too little".

KayloFireworks - don't be a stranger! I think this is one of the nicest threads that I'm a part of on MN... stay with this one, if nothing else! I suppose it's easy to say 'try not to worry' but easier said than done. As long as you're looking after yourself then I'm sure you'll be fine
Love the idea of the 'ordered' list too... I'll be getting excited when (if) my name comes to the top...

sparechange - It seems that a lot of us are in the same boat with the pill... does anyone know how long it takes your body to readjust?

Hi Ladies, sorry not been around much lately - MN and TTC been very intense lately - some worry about another mc if I get pregnant again, the usual concerns really but it got a bit much and had to step away a bit. Am trying to lurk around still but am not posting as obsessively as before.

But I'll happily add myself to your stats

Antdamm TTC#2 Cycle 12 UCL32ish CD41??
Seanybosmummy TTC#2 Cycle 18 UCL 29-31 CD22
Jumblequeen TTC#1 Cycle 2 UCL26 CD21
Sparechange TTC#1 Cycle 3 UCL31ish CD20
Kaylo TTC#3 Cycle 2(after mc) UCL 29 CD13
Katiecubs TTC#1 Cycle 1 UCL31ish CD11

And have updated in date order - so we know who's gonna be testing next....

Hi gem, welcome!
It is a bit weird doing the first post, isn't it...
I'm (just) 28 and we've been sort of trying since July. We've taken it a bit more seriously in the last couple of months...

I'd previously been on the pill for about 9 years straight, so wanted to give my bits a chance to remember how to work before we started making more of an effort.

Still haven't gone down the temping/fertility test route, but I am taking folic acid

gembay · 05/11/2009 15:08

Hi everyone - can I join in please? Im fairly new to mumsnet and have never joined a thread like this before but everyone always seems so supportive! Am just hoping it wont increase my obsessing too much...

I'm 26 and came off the pill in May - havn't really been 'trying' - more just seeing what happens.. which unfortunatly is not a lot!

Im in a very similar position to Mazza999 as my periods are also slightly irregular - I always have one each month but they always vary between 29 - 36 days. Im not sure if this is something I should be worried about and could be why it seems to be taking a while to conceive? any advice?

Can I be nosy and ask how old everyone is here, and when you decided to TTC?

sparechange · 05/11/2009 14:35

thanks Ant,
DH thinks I'm mad to even take it into consideration, but I have a friend who is a primary school teacher who mentioned in passing years ago that she wouldn't want a summer baby and it has always stuck in my mind... Silly how I get hung up on things!!

It is more not wanting to abstain from all the work christmas things in case my boss twigs. There are only so many 'antibiotics' that I can be on in one month

Antdamm · 05/11/2009 14:32

Missed you there Seany.

I have terrible willpower - its the fear of a BFN that is holding me back!! [massive wimp here]

Hey ladies,

Welcome katiecubs!!

Jumblequeen - I'm planning to test on the 10th. I didn't have any symptoms when PG with DS, just a missed period

Sparechange - I had an August baby Some people would rather not have one in August because of problems with school. But, personally I wouldn't mind another August baby But that is just me. Maybe a small break will do you good??

I was having a little think last night and I think I'm going to suggest to DH that we step back from trying too hard this month. Combination of lots of christmas parites coming up + potential august baby? Anyone else doing the same, or I am just hugely lacking commitment to Operation Up the Duff?

Okay! It's for my own good, I know

I think I've been thinking about it all too much... I don't want to add inventing "sypmtoms" to the madness so I'm going to try to ignore anything/everything until I know either way.

Chin up about not feeling anything - I keep reminding myself that everyone is different . When are you planning to test?

Antdamm · 05/11/2009 12:07

Hey Jumble,

Funny cramping ? Sounds interesting You never know.

You MUST refrain from testing again til Monday!!! Ok??

I am not feeling anything today
I think I feel completely normal. I think I would like to feel symptoms of something - even if it just the start of another period.

jumblequeen · 05/11/2009 10:48

AntdamnUallToHell - I know, i know... I have no self restraint at all!

I can't believe your tummy was rumbling in your sleep! Let's hope it's because you're feeding something

Nothing much else to report apart from a sore back and a sort of funny cramping quite low down my stomach... never had that before. It's probably just the mother of all AFs though. Bah!

AntdamnUallToHell · 05/11/2009 10:22

Hey Ladies,

Jumblequeen - I can't believe you tested!!! You were supposed to be holding out. Show some restraint woman!

I have not caved yet. I am definitely holding out til the 10th. I have hidden the tests - out of sight, out of mind. I hope

This morning I was dizzy when I woke up, DP reckons it's because I am hungry. He said my stomach was runbling during sleep I really am a greedy bugger.

Morning,

Pretty grotty in London today... I'm enjoying being cosy at home but alas, work does tend to impose!

AntdamnUallToHell - I really recommend holding your nerve for as long as you can... I did a test yesterday (BFN) and it got me down a bit. Still no sign of AF though (I'm due monday) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

A list is a good idea - I was thinking that myself. Here are my stats to kick things off:

jumblequeen TTC#1 Cycle 2 UCL26 CD21

AntdamnUallToHell · 04/11/2009 21:16

Just wanted to give it a friendly bump

AntdamnUallToHell · 04/11/2009 14:26

Hey ladies,

Hows the weather where you are?? It is pissing buckets here DS really wants to go play on the trampoline - I said he could if he got his wellies on and his waterproofs

I am feeling normal again I was feeling a little 'off' the past couple of days, but it seems to have passed. I have bought 2 hpts today (cheapy strip ones that cost me 2euro). I was tempted to try one, but I restrained myself - not quite ready for the BFN yet.

I reckon AF will appear on the 10th or thereabouts. She really should have been here on 26th (ish)but i think the 'funny' period I had has messed things up. will just have to wait.

Seany - glad to hear you are doing well Where in your cycle are you?

Should we do a list??

seanybosmummysfedupwaiting · 04/11/2009 14:12

Hi everyone!

Sorry to hear of the bfn sparechange-i know how disappointing it is up try to keep your chin up.

Ant im good thanks . Is af due on the 10th?

Hows everyone else?

jumblequeen · 03/11/2009 15:23

P.s. What a lovely thread this is! everyone is so supportive. I'm hoping it'll bring good luck for everyone...

jumblequeen · 03/11/2009 15:21

Hello girls,

Well I'm now 7 DPO and pretty much climbing the walls. A bit of cramping, a bit of back-ache.. the usual suspects when AF is on her way but I'm hoping that it's those somewhat misguided pg symptoms instead! AF due monday. Our bodies have a cruel way of tricking us, don't they?

AntdamnUallToHell · 03/11/2009 12:07

Aww Sparechange
Were you late? Or were you testing just in case?

I have no news to report, still feel funny - just a bit off - cant explain it.

Nearly bought a test today, but managed to restrain myself.

But am going to buy one tomorrow if I get a chance. But will definitely NOT be testing til the 10th if I am still waiting.

How is everyone else????

Seany?
Kaylo?
Jumble?

sparechange · 03/11/2009 11:53

Hello ladies
I had a BFN at the weekend
To be honest, I wasn't expecting it to be anything different, but it was our wedding anniversary and we were going out of a nice meal, so I tested to be on the safe side before I got carried away with champagne!
I'm still about down in the dumps about it - silly isn't it

Any one have any news?

seanybosmummysfedupwaiting · 03/11/2009 11:13

ant how are you feeling today???

How are the rest of you lovely ladies doing?

OP posts:
AntdamnUallToHell · 02/11/2009 13:26

Thankfully he wasn't too bad. He stops himself getting too drunk and starts drinking water. He is good that way. Can't say the same for his brother, who was with him......

Am feeling a bit funny today......

Be back later, need to go pick up DS

seanybosmummysfedupwaiting · 02/11/2009 12:03
