Thoughts on Tristram?

WhisperingAutistic · 08/07/2023 16:46

Much prefer Tristan

Festivemoose · 08/07/2023 16:38

I’ve always preferred Tristram to Tristan. It sounds softer to me.

shoopshoopdedoo · 07/07/2023 23:46

Not keen

user6482959 · 07/07/2023 20:51

Yes this

FayCarew · 07/07/2023 16:17

I prefer it to Tristan, but both are nice.
Tristram Hunt. The little boy in George & Mildred.

EmeraldFox · 07/07/2023 16:02

Tri-stram? Tris-tram? Trist-ram?

People will just assume Tristan and you will be forever correcting them.

Enko · 07/07/2023 15:58

I really like Tristram prefer it to Tristan.

shropshirewitch · 07/07/2023 15:30

Tristram Shandy is my first thought. Prefer Tristan but I like Tristram.

CC4712 · 07/07/2023 15:19

I agree with the others. Too clunky and difficult for some people to say. I like Tristan.

KingTriton · 07/07/2023 15:12

Awful - please don't.

Tristan is not much better.

Jongleterre · 07/07/2023 15:11

Awful. Sounds like Jonathon Ross getting tongue tied trying to say Tristan.

Tristan is a lovely name.

PerspiringElizabeth · 07/07/2023 15:10

Terrible I’m afraid. A very smug name.

Missingmyusername · 07/07/2023 15:07

I think you’ll get a lot of “Tristan?” personally.

DisgustedOfTidmouth · 07/07/2023 15:07

Tristan is easier to say and less clunky

capercorn · 07/07/2023 15:07

Reminds me of Tristan spelt wrong or a horny sheep. Sorry.

Aquamarine1029 · 07/07/2023 15:06

I think it's pretty awful. Very clunky and hard to say.
