What to do if your child has been poisoned
Harmful substances include alcohol, drugs (prescription or non-prescription drugs), chemicals (including household cleaning products) and some plants. Swallowing any of these may be dangerous for a baby or child and will need urgent medical attention.
What to do:
1. Try to establish what they have taken, when and how much.
2. Call 999.
