  • 1.5kg whole chicken

  • 1 lemon juiced

  • 1/2 pints water

  • 1 chicken stock cube

  • 1 tbsp cornflour or some chicken gravy granules


  1. Put whole chicken into pressure cooker with lemon juice, stock cube and water. Cook on high pressure for 30 minutes.
  2. Reduce pressure at room temperature.
  3. Lift the chicken out and thicken the stock with the cornflour or gravy granules and serve this sauce with the chicken.

    Using the stock the chicken had been cooked in made for a very greasy sauce.
