  • 1 tin chopped tomato

  • 6 skinless sausages

  • 1 clove garlic chopped

  • 2 onions chopped

  • 1 bowl mashed potato (for topping)

  • 1 handful mushrooms chopped

  • 6 slices bacon

  • 2 handfuls vegetables (eg celery, carrots)


  1. Cook potatoes ready to mash.
  2. In a hot pan with some oil, soften onion with garlic, then add sausages and bacon and brown.
  3. Add the other ingredients (apart from the mash) and, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Put mixture in casserole dish, cover with mashed potato and cook in oven at 180C for 20 minutes or until browned.

Handy Hint

Adding a litle grated cheese over the potato before putting in the oven creates a lovely cheesy crust.

Base mixture easily frozen.
