  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 2 tbsp clear honey

  • 100g cashew nuts

  • 1 tsp fine salt

  • 100g walnuts

  • 50g pumpkin seeds

  • 100g macadamia nuts

  • 3 tbsp sunflower seeds

  • 100g pecans


  1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl apart from the black pepper and the cayenne.
  2. Spread the mixture onto a baking tray.
  3. Cook for 17 minutes on 160C/140C fan/Gas Mark 3.
  4. Sprinkle over pepper and cayenne pepper and mix.
  5. Put into jars for presents or in a big bowl for sharing.

Handy Hint

You can use any combination of nuts really - skin-on almonds, for example - whatever you have to hand.
