  • 75g self-raising flour

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 40g sugar

  • 3 tbsp golden syrup

  • 1 eggs

  • 250g oats

  • 100g butter or margarine

  • 150g sultanas

  • 75g mixed nuts roughly chopped

  • 2 banana mashed


  1. Grease a tin and heat the oven to 180C. Mix nuts, oats, flour, fruit and salt in large bowl.
  2. Mix bananas and egg in a jug, then add to the oat mixture.
  3. Melt butter, sugar and golden syrup and add this to the oats and bananas.
  4. Press into a tin and bake for 25 minutes.
  5. Once out of the oven, cut into bars and leave to cool.

Handy Hint

They also work with gluten free flour.
