  • 60g self-raising flour

  • 60g butter

  • 60g caster sugar

  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1 eggs

  • 400g black cherries pitted

  1. Butter the inside of 4 metal moulds (at least 235ml / 8fl oz each) and line the bases with greaseproof paper.
  2. Mix the butter, sugar, egg, flour, cocoa and baking powder together with a wooden spoon until well mixed.
  3. Place six cherries in the base of each mould. Chop the remainder and add to the pudding mixture.
  4. Spoon into moulds and level the tops. Cover loosely with foil and place in the slow cooker pot.
  5. Pour boiling water into the pot so that it reaches halfway up the sides of the moulds. Put the lid on and cook for 2 hours on high.
  6. Serve with ice cream/cream or melted chocolate. Very yummy…
