  • 1 tbsp tomato puree

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 250g lean beef mince

  • 250g pork mince

  • 1 clove garlic crushed

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes

  • 55g breadcrumbs

  • 1 tsp cornflour mixed with 1 tsp water

  • 50g grated Parmesan


  1. Blitz all meatball ingredients together in a food processor or mix by hand. Roll mixture into balls and brown in a frying pan. Transfer to oven proof dish.
  2. Mix tomatoes, tomato puree, oregano, sugar and cornflour mix and pour over meatballs. Bake in preheated oven at 170C for 40 minutes.
  3. Serve with spaghetti.

When and how to freeze: Put in freezer-safe tupperware after cooking

How do I cook it?: Thaw in the fridge over night, then re-heat in a pan

    I have been adjusting this recipe for the last 6 years and now feel I really do make the perfect meatballs!
