  • 4oz butter

  • 1 tbsp golden syrup

  • 1 tsp drinking chocolate heaped

  • 4oz chocolate

  • 8oz digestive biscuits

  • 1 handful sultanas or raisins, cherries, whatever you've got

  1. Melt the chocolate over hot water or in the microwave.
  2. Crush the biscuits in a plastic bag using a rolling pin. You want some crunchy pieces in there too.
  3. Melt butter and add sultanas, drinking chocolate and syrup.
  4. Add crushed biscuits and press into a 7 inch tin.
  5. Pour the melted chocolate over. (Dark chocolate with a bit of white chocolate drizzled over looks good).
  6. Allow to cool and cut into squares or wedges.

Very quick to make, children love to help with the bashing biscuits and the drizzling chocolate! Good one for school coffee mornings etc. Looks good if you cover with dark chocolate and drizzle white chocolate over, or vice versa.
