  • 1 tomato puree

  • 200g cheese

  • 1 bag pasta spaghetti or pasta shapes

  1. Cook spaghetti/pasta in a pot of boiling water for 5-15 minutes depending on the amount recommended on the pack and once ready, drain the spaghetti/pasta and return it to the pan, set it back on the heat for 3 seconds and remove to a cold hob.
  2. Stir in tomato purée, a little at first then build up until spaghetti/pasta is a red colour but not matted with purée.
  3. Add a small handful of grated cheese to the spaghetti/pasta and mix well. Serve on a plate and add more cheese to the top. If serving a small child (4-12) snap spaghetti in half before cooking then continue to cut up into small pieces until small enough for a child to eat.

I eat this myself 3 times a week as it's cheap simple and quick. DS loves it and its very tastful. I live in a house with 5 other people including a grown teenage boy and a dad who loves his food and one packet serves us all and theres enough left to do 2 more people, all in all it costs no more than £4 to serve 6-8 people a large dinner.
