  • 125g butter

  • 2 egg yolk

  • 150g caster sugar

  • 225g plain flour


  1. Preheat oven to 180C/Gas Mark 4.
  2. Cream butter and sugar together.
  3. Add beaten egg yolks to the mixture and mix.
  4. Stir in flour and then mix with hands to form a dough.
  5. Roll on floured surface to about 1/4 inch.
  6. Cut out shapes, dust with a little sugar and place on greased tray.
  7. Bake for about 10-15 minutes until golden.

Handy Hint

They are also nice with raisins added.

    Good once I'd realised that I needed to add more flour until the right consistency fir rolling had been made.
