French sticks with garlic, goats cheese and pinenuts

  • 1 bag pine nuts

  • 1 bulb garlic

  • 1 soft goat's cheese

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 baguette


  1. Cut the top of the garlic bulb off and drizzle with some of the olive oil. Wrap in foil, place in pre-heated oven at 175C and roast for about 1-1.5 hours depending on size.
  2. Roast the pine nuts in the rest of the oil and salt until nicely coloured.
  3. Cut the bread into slices and warm up in the oven.
  4. On each slice, squeeze out one clove of garlic, add a little bit of the goat's cheese and top with the pine nuts.

Handy Hint

Pine nuts burn really easy so please watch them!

    This is a really nice starter especially if you have a dinner party where not all people know each other as it always seems to be an icebreaker as ours!
